Using Transport Activity-Based Model to Simulate the Pandemic

We use an activity-based transport model to simulate the progression of a virus at regional scale. analyse several scenarios corresponding distinct situations and describing how small initial clusters infected agents expand reach pandemic level. evaluate effectiveness some public restrictions compare number infections with respect base-case scenario, where no are in place. consider wearing masks and/or activities (work, leisure shopping) implementation lockdown. Our analysis shows that education, including primary level, is one major occur. find transportation only does not yield important impacts. The lockdown efficient containing spread but, same time, significantly increases length wave (factor two). This because who susceptible be remains high. uses murdasp tool specifically designed process output models performs simulation pandemic.
